Emily Irwin is a busy mom of two kids, Hailey and Jake, who likes to help out in any way that she can. Hailey, a
senior, is involved in softball, track, and cheer at Duncan High School. Jake, a 6th grader, plays baseball at Duncan Middle School. Emily does everything she can to be involved and support her kids. During softball season, she helps run the concession stand and is very active in the softball booster club. She helps make snack bags for the girls on away games, and helped coordinate softball’s senior night by helping to get the gifts, flowers, and cupcakes for the girls. When track season rolls around, Emily is involved in the track booster club, makes snack bags, and helps put on track’s annual end of season banquet. Even with a busy schedule, she still makes it a priority to attend every game and meet to support her kids. Emily is also very active in the community. This year, she is the co-chair of Project Graduation which provides seniors with a night of fun and memories after graduation. Emily says that she loves to support her kids and Duncan athletics. “Wherever the kids are, that’s where I am,” she says. For all of her hard work and dedication Duncan athletics and her children, Emily Irwin is most deserving of Duncan Mom of the Month.
